Who is Diamond for?
Diamond is for baseball and softball league coordinators and assignors who already have games to cover and an approved umpire roster. The pilot focuses on getting those umpires assigned, confirmed, and ready for game day.
Can I bring my existing spreadsheet?
Yes. Export your game list as a CSV with the date, start and end times, teams, division, and field. Diamond previews additions and changes before you load them. Each upload supports up to 50 games, and you can add more with another upload.
Will Diamond do the assigning for me?
Diamond proposes crews using saved availability, league approvals, qualifications, conflicting assignments, and workload. You review the first plan. Once you save it, Diamond sends assignment emails, follows up on replies, and can try eligible replacements for those reviewed games. Uncovered positions stay visible for you to resolve.
What happens when an umpire declines or does not reply?
Diamond follows the response window you set and can offer the position to another eligible umpire. It avoids asking someone who already declined that game. You can pause automatic replacements, and Diamond flags positions it cannot fill.
Do my umpires need to download an app?
No. Umpires use a private setup link and a mobile-friendly web portal to share availability, accept assignments, acknowledge changes, and pick up eligible openings. Assignment notices and reminders arrive by email.
What is included in the scheduling pilot?
The pilot includes game imports, umpire setup and availability, crew proposals, assignment emails, reminders, eligible replacements, linked crews, game-change tracking, and eligible open-game pickup. Your league supplies the game schedule and approves its umpires. Payments, tax paperwork, calendar integrations, and native apps are outside this pilot.
